Code of Ethics:  The Greater Pittsburgh Scottish Terrier Club was formed and exists to encourage and promote the breeding of purebred Scottish Terriers and to do all possible to bring their natural qualities to perfection. It is committed to do all in its power to protect and advance the interests of the breed and to encourage sportsmanlilke competition at dog shows.

Welcome, we would like you to meet a few of our "Scots."

GREATER PITTSBURGH SCOTTISH TERRIER CLUB mentioned in recent Pittburgh Tribune Review article.

We want to thank reporter,
JoAnne Klimovich Harrop, for mentioning us in her article about America's newest champion, Sadie aka CH Roundtown Mercedes of Maryscot. If you would like to learn more about Sadie, the Westminster winner, you can download her fact sheet offered from the American Kennel Club.

Corrections to the Pittsburgh Tribune article:  The article stated that Victoria Bush, president, "also sells rescue dogs and agility dogs, too".  Rescue dogs are "adopted" and when appropriate Victoria refers those looking for a Scottie to member,
Jan Kostyzak, who runs the Western Pennsylvania Scottish Terrier Rescue or to the Scottish Terrier Club of America's rescue coordinators list.

Some of the G.P.S.T.C. members are involved in the agility sport with their Scotties.  As with any breed, agility takes special training and dedication. Victoria does NOT sell "agility dogs" but she can refer you to experienced members that can help you learn more about agility.

The G.P.S.T.C. is blessed to have all sorts of Scotties in our club: conformation (show) dogs, pets, rescues, canine good citizen, obedience, agility, earth dog, and therapy dogs.  All are loving pets in our homes.  Our members are always happy to share their knowledge and expertise with anyone interested in a particular field of dog sport or activity.
